Construction Photos of Uptown and West Plano

Construction in North Texas

This photo is the Shops at Legacy’s new addition – more great townhomes, shops, dining, apartments all in walking distance of each other. Located at Dallas tollway and Legacy on the east side.

Taken directly across from the new Ritz Carlton that opened last month in Uptown at McKinney and Pearl. Buildings are going to be office, apartments and retail shopping which is badly needed in this area. Some views at 1999 McKinney will be blocked from this.

Side view of the Ritz, understated elegance, art deco influence, in the back is the Crescent. Ritz Rooms go for $500. a night, a steal compared to the W at $700.

Happy New Year! And a Diamond Tree…

A Girl’s Best Friend….

Happy New Year to you!  This tree was found on a holiday light tour in Highland Park.
Instead of the typical cream, red, green or blue lights, these pure white lights made the tree look like a diamond mine, thus the diamond tree.  Absolutely beautiful!  We  hope you enjoyed your holidays and wish you well for 2012.  Enjoy your black eye peas today and Go Cowboys!

Going Home…

1967 Live Oak in North Dallas

North Dallas Ranch Style Home

Yesterday I was down in Dallas for a new listing and I happened to swing by a place I use to call home.  I’m sure you’ve done the same thing, drive by or think about your past and where you grew up.  My parents planted this beautiful Live Oak as a twig in 1967.  It certainly makes you feel good knowing that excellent home owners have taken such great care of a property and a very special tree.  That was 43 years ago! Any idea how much that tree adds to your property value? It’s the best tree on the block!  Anyway, enjoy the weather and there are plenty of open houses if the mood strikes.

Pumpkin Patch – Dallas Aboretum

Pumpkin Paradise

I know living in Plano you might not get to much farther South of LBJ, but the Dallas Arboretum is worth the trip.  Located in the White Rock Lake Area off of Garland Road, it’s one of the places that is really pretty and educational to visit. Always seasonal and guess what? Santa will be visiting Dec. 5th and 6th.  Nice way to start the holidays and relax a little before it gets crazy.

The Fastest Thing the City of Dallas has ever done….

Woodall Rogers Destroyed in less then 48 hours

Woodall Rogers Blown Up in Dallas

This was taken from 1999 McKinney Lofts, started late Friday afternoon and this was Saturday evening.
Next weekend St. Paul will be demolished and they will fill in for the posh park, kinda like Central Park but a Dallas version to go along with the Arts District.  I bet some never thought this day would come but it will soon be a reality.

Preston Hollow Trees

Preston Hollow

Something you don’t see everyday…

The “Live Oak” is one serious tree. One reason people want to move to Preston Hollow is because of the larger lots and beautiful tree lined streets. The builder of this home definitely took advantage of this awesome tree and used the branches to frame the entry, quite effectively I might add. You don’t see this everyday and it makes this a memorable property and a nice place to call home.

Santa’s Already in Town

Santa’s on Abbott

These pics were taken a couple of days ago on Abbott Street in Highland Park right before you get to Knox.(Henderson Area)  Every holiday is celebrated by this home – glorious gardens all year round and Santa’s already arrived with his sleigh of Texas appropriate cows.  Everyone will love this!

This home has a certain “Je ne sais quoi?” Qui!

I went in this beautiful French Country Estate last week, here’s a few details:

  • 8244 sq ft
  • 5 bedroom, 8 bath
  • built 2006 by Sharif and Munir

Builders sometimes don’t put any photos – so thought I’d help out.

Highland Park Architecture

Highland Park Homes

I had business today in the Park Cities – the temperatures have stayed under 100 degrees for most of the summer and because of the extra rain, well Dallas has never looked prettier.

So here are a couple of photos of what Highland Park homes look like.  There is quite a range, but you will find plenty of Mediterranean and Tudor like below, each unique in their own way.
